The second Edition CycloEdu initiative, which connects bicycle and education was completed
Thane: The second edition of CycloEdu, an initiative organized by Aamhi Cycle Premi Foundation, which connects cycles with education, concluded on Sunday. Under this initiative, 35 students of Thane Municipality and other economically weaker sections of schools who have obtained good marks in class 10 were felicitated with bicycles and more than 120 children with educational kits.
Raheel Singh, who had lost the umbrella of his parents and despite being handicapped, overcame this situation and scored gold in the examination, was felicitated with a check of eleven thousand rupees and an educational kit for his further education.
The program was introduced by Pragya Mhatre, the founder president of the organization. Senior educationist Surendra Dighe, the chief guest of the program, evoked his childhood memories of cycling. When we were cycling there was plenty of bush, freedom of cycling, no traffic jams. The fun of cycling was something else. But now the number of accidents is increasing and the reason is negligence. I enjoy climbing, it has taught me to keep one foot on the ground and one eye on the summit.Aamhi Cycle Premi Foundation promote the sport through such initiatives so we really appreciate them. The journey of the exciting 190 km race of the King of Ghats unfolds. Cyclist should be appreciated as much as cricketers are appreciated. Urbanization has increased the number of vehicles, so it is necessary for the municipality and the police to protect cyclists. Roads should be designed in metros like there are roads for bicycles abroad. Vice President of Thane District Athletic Association Pramod Kulkarni said that we are able to rob cycle lovers of the joy of cycling thanks to Cycle Premi Foundation. This initiative is being implemented as a social commitment. Cycle is the medium in rural areas and we Cycle Premi Foundation has worked to provide this medium in areas like Murbad last year. Former police officer Raju Patil said that even after the month of July, there is no satisfactory rainfall in the cities. The reason for this is the current global warming. Due to this, cycling should maintain the environment properly. The fun in a bicycle is not in a motorcycle. Secretary of the organization Deepesh Dalvi gave the vote of thanks. Madhuri Koli presented the program.
